Vascular Surgery Department
Advanced surgical and minimally invasive treatments for vascular diseases, available locally in Afghanistan.
Diseases of the blood vessels—such as blocked arteries, varicose veins, aneurysms, and blood clots—are becoming increasingly common in Afghanistan, driven by lifestyle factors, diabetes, hypertension, smoking, and limited access to preventive care. Unfortunately, many patients remain undiagnosed until late stages, or are forced to travel abroad for specialized treatment due to the lack of vascular surgery expertise in the country.
At Behzad Medical Complex, our Vascular Surgery Department is dedicated to changing this reality by providing comprehensive diagnostic and surgical treatments for all types of vascular conditions. With modern imaging systems, minimally invasive techniques, and highly skilled vascular surgeons, we ensure patients receive the best possible outcomes without needing to leave Afghanistan.
Our approach combines cutting-edge technology with compassionate patient care, focusing on both emergency vascular problems—like blood clots and arterial blockages—as well as chronic conditions such as varicose veins and peripheral arterial disease. Through close collaboration with our Cardiology, Radiology, and Intensive Care Units, the department provides seamless, multidisciplinary treatment tailored to each patient’s needs.
By introducing advanced vascular surgery services locally, BMC is pioneering a new era in cardiovascular health in Afghanistan—making life-saving interventions more accessible, affordable, and effective.
